History
The Rusch Home site dates back to 1858 when it was purchased by the Volle Family. Fred and Julia Rusch were raised by their grandparents, the Volles in the Home. In 1914 their home burnt down and the present Home was constructed in classic Craftsman architecture. In 1951, the Rusch's donated several acres of land which would become Rusch Park. In 1977, the Sunrise Recreation & Park District added the Rusch Home & Gardens to Rusch Park. The Rusch Home is 1700± square feet and sits on a 2± acre lot.
If you have any questions or suggestions please contact our District Office at (916)725-1585.
